This years Player of the year goes to a popular figure in the Foyle line up. He's a good laugh for the lads, but his prowess and goalscoring ability is what sealed the award of Player of the Year 08/09 for John Stanton.

26/08/2009 - Auchenfoyle Managers Player of the Year 08/09
This years Managers Player of the Year goes to someone, who has been a presence in the middle of the park all year. His work rate and heart have made him the engine room for the Foyle this year and some fantastic football caught the eye of the Manager, to cement his decision to award Stewart Thomson Managers Player of the Year 08/09.

For the season 2008 - 2009 Auchenfoyle's top goal scorer was John Stanton. Always a man who shows his true colours on and off the park! Well done John.

30/06/2008 - Church Attendance

All players must attend church twice this season if you wish to play for The Foyle.

Its the Ambassador Hall church team so you need to come along to the Ambassador Hall. Once before august and then once before christmas.

Its not your stereotypical church meeting, its pretty down to earth. I would recommend coming in the evening as its a bit more interesting and lively.

There are meetings on each Sunday at 12 and then 8.30 at Ambassador Hall, Oronsay Avenue.

If you want to come along more than twice, then great! I'm there every week and you'll always be made welcome.

Without doubt the biggest impact made on the team this year was having a solid keeper at the back. And for keeping the Foyle in many many games, this years Player of the Year is James Buchanan.

For playing in nearly every position this season when called upon and giving a consistent sterling performance, Joe Nugent is this years Managers Player of the Year.

Well done to Johnny Nelson for scoring 22 goals this season to give him the top goal scorer award for the secong year in a row.


03/05/2008 - WAR CRY!!

Right lads, 3 games left, we need every point we can get. Lets win these remaining games and concrete ourselves into 4th position. Everyone giving 100% effort, concentration and workrate and we'll do it!!

Right lads, finally updated the site, just missing the assists from the 10-0 win over West Glasgow and also 1 of the scorers. I only have a note of 9 goals, so let me know and I'll complete the update of stats.

Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year for 2008. Lets have a great second half of the season with plenty of wins!

A reminder as well that all players need to attend church before the end of December. Sunday at the Ambassador Hall at 12.00 or 8.30.
